Stunning wineries, beautiful scenery, great wines and excellent food make for the perfect wine tour in Mendoza, Argentina.
We pick you up in the morning at 9am and head for the vineyards of Luján de Cuyo, in the heart of
Mendoza wine country. Our English-speaking guide will escort you around four premium wineries, old and modern, high tech and quaint, with a spectacular backdrop of snow-capped mountains.
First we take you to
Benegas Lynch, an old historical winery making excellent Cabernet Franc from 80-year old vines. This adobe built structure is not just an excellent boutique winery but also historically significant as the owners once owned Trapiche and are credited with bringing the first French grapes to
Argentina. Next we have a tasting at the well appointed
Terrazas, the fine wine arm of Chandon
Argentina. Here we try their top wine Cheval de los
Andes, a joint venture with the famous French winery Cheval Blanc. At midday we visit
Bodega
Ruca Malen
. This modern French-Argentine winery does an incredible gourmet lunch where all their wines are paired with a particular dish. There you will taste all their range, including their top wine Kinien.
We finish the day at to
Alta Vista , an old style winery completely renovated and refurbished by a French wine family. Here we try Torrontes, Bonarda, Malbec and have a special tasting of their Grand Reserva, one of
Argentina's best Malbecs. We return to
Mendoza city at 5pm.

Our wine tour groups are small and private
(never more than 6 to 7 people though we do take larger groups of friends and family).
Please note: Most wineries close at weekends in Mendoza. We still do tours on Saturdays and Sundays but we cannot guarantee that you will get a small group tour at each winery.
Our wine guides are the best, and eager to give instruction in wine appreciation if necessary and tell you the background to Argentina's fascinating wine heritage. Transport is in a well maintained, air-conditioned vehicle and chilled mineral water is on hand all day and throughout the wine tour.
