Meet the winemakers on our exclusive private wine tour
Pick up is at 10am at your hotel, and we go Maipu, where Mendoza’s original wine boom took place at the end of the 19th century. It is situated 40 minutes south east of Mendoza City, amidst olive groves and ancient vineyards and some very old, historical wineries. First we take to the Boutique operation Carinae, a tiny boutique winery. Carinae make excellent Malbec and Syrah with the expert hand of the famous French flying consultant wine maker Michel Rolland. We have lunch at El Enemigo, a boutique winery and restaurant owned by Alejandro Vigil, the head winemaker at Catena Zapata. Here we enjoy a four-course lunch in the unconventional, somewhat bohemian setting of Mendoza’s most famous young winemaker. Return to Mendoza 5.15pm.
Please note this is a sample of itinerary. The wineries may change according to the date.
Water is available on our vehicles all day. However to avoid excessive use of plastic bottles we recommend you bring a re-usable water bottle.
