Taste Catena Zapata´s famous wines where it is made
First we take you to one of Mendoza’s most famous wineries, Catena Zapata, an imposing modern winery designed like a Mayan temple. The Catena Zapata family were influential in making Malbec the signature grape of Argentina. Next we take you to El Enemigo, a boutique winery and restaurant owned by Alejandro Vigil, the head winemaker at Catena Zapata. Here we enjoy a four-course lunch in the unconventional, somewhat bohemian setting of Mendoza’s most famous young winemaker. At the end of the tour we visit CA.RO a historical winery founded at the end of the 19 century nowadays leaded by 2 big personalities, Nicolas Catena and Baron de Roschild (Lafite). Here we will focus in the first years of the wine industry in Mendoza while exploring one of the oldest and most beautiful wine cellars of Mendoza Return to Mendoza 5.30 pm .
